Scattering Jake

Feature Screenplay, 106 pages, drama/comedy. Kolby dumps her dead husband’s ashes down the sink when she learns that he knocked up her best friend. Now, she must wrestle with the truth as she embarks on a road trip to scatter those ashes with his overbearing family and the kooky recipient of his transplanted heart.

Half-hour Pilot Screenplay, 30 pages, comedy, written with Corinne Caputo. Two acquaintances who barely get along are hit by a truck, die, and become ghosts. Now trapped together for eternity, they navigate the afterlife and try to figure out their unfinished business.

Solo Projects:

  • On Her Own (feature): A biopic about the first woman in Congress, Jeannette Rankin. Currently being written from an outline that was workshopped through Sundance Co//ab’s 12-Week Screenwriting Intensive.

  • Where We Started (short): A woman reflects on a difficult relationship at the place where it first began. Currently entering pre-production with Erica directing.

  • Outstanding Ladies (short): A contestant comes to terms with her mediocrity at a women's scholarship pageant. Currently written as an early draft.

With Corinne Caputo:

  • Spaceboat (feature): Marth, an eager but awkward scientist, is ridiculed when she claims that she was abducted by aliens, but when her childhood friend Beth, a respected science journalist, also goes suspiciously missing, only Marth can save her… and the world! Currently in script revisions.

  • Good Game (short): A rec league softball team tries to get one win in their losing season. Written by Corinne Caputo, to be directed by Erica in Spring 2019, currently entering pre-production.
